I often find myself sighing at my Instagram feed, mildly irritated by all of the trends that keep popping up in the food world. Yet here I am hybridising two trends that are admittedly pretty hackneyed - the turmeric latte and bulletproof coffee.
Yet, given a bone broth twist, the result is so delicious, creamy and satisfying (not to mention good for you), it'd be a sin not to share. Enjoy, and 'gram away, friends.
Serves: 1 person
Time: 5 minutes
* indicates optional ingredients
1 cup Borough Broth Co organic Chicken or Beef Bone Broth
1 tablespoon cold butter (ideally unpasteurised)
1/8 tsp turmeric
1/8 tsp black pepper (considerably increases turmeric absorption in the body)
* Thyme / rosemary / woody herb of choice sprig to infuse and simultaneously serve as a stirrer and save on washing up
Heat up your broth of choice on the hob until piping hot
Leave to cool slightly
Carefully pour into a blender / bullet, add in the butter, turmeric and black pepper, and whizz for a few seconds until the butter is fully emulsified
Sip and smile feel smug at your painfully à la mode self
